Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your data when you use SymbolSymbol (symbolsymbol.com). The short version: we do not ask for, sell or share personal information, and the site works without cookies.
What we do not collect
- There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms.
- The site does not set cookies and does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
- Fonts and all other files are served from this site, so your browser does not contact third parties when you visit.
- We never read your clipboard. The site only writes to it when you click a copy button.
What stays on your device
Your display settings (symbol size, font and symbol style) and the contents of the copy panel are saved in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you refresh or open another page. They never leave your device. Press Clear in the copy panel to empty it, or clear your browser's site data to remove everything.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the page address, the date and time, and your browser's user agent. We use these logs only to keep the site running, secure and free of abuse, and they are deleted after a limited period.
Text you type into our tools
The text generators run in your browser; what you type is not sent to us. The Unicode lookup sends the characters you enter to our server to look up their names, as part of the page address, and like any page request it may appear in server logs.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access or delete personal data about you. Because we do not keep personal data beyond short-lived server logs, there is usually nothing to hand over, but you can always ask us at [email protected].
Changes
If we add features that process personal data, such as analytics or advertising, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
