The BTS logo in text
In July 2017, BTS refreshed its brand with a new logo made of two slanted panels, and the fandom ARMY got a matching logo that mirrors it. The closest characters in Unicode are the math brackets โญ and โฌ (MATHEMATICAL RIGHT and LEFT WHITE TORTOISE SHELL BRACKET), so fans type โญโฌ as a text logo and also use the flipped pair โฌโญ.
At the same time, BTS added a second meaning to its name: Beyond The Scene. The original stands for ๋ฐฉํ์๋ ๋จ (Bangtan Sonyeondan), usually translated as Bulletproof Boy Scouts. For the name itself, script letters like ๐๐ฃ๐ข are popular; make other styles with the fancy text generator.
Purple and "I purple you"
Purple is closely tied to BTS and ARMY, so ๐ and ๐ฃ show up in countless fan bios. The phrase "I purple you" (๋ณด๋ผํด, borahae) was coined by member V at a 2016 fan meeting. He explained that purple is the last color of the rainbow, so it means trusting and loving someone for a long time.
A purple heart works anywhere. For extra flair, put it between angel wings like ๐ฉ๐๐ช, or find more hearts on the heart symbol page.
Other symbols ARMY use
BTS has seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Many fans add a superscript โท to their display names, and OT7 ("one true seven") means supporting all seven. ARMY, the fandom's name, is short for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth.
Each member also designed a character for BT21, a 2017 collaboration with LINE FRIENDS: Koya (RM), RJ (Jin), Shooky (Suga), Mang (J-Hope), Chimmy (Jimin), Tata (V) and Cooky (Jungkook). The last group above shows the closest emoji for each, and the cursive letters page has more script styles for names.
