๐ was added in Unicode 6.0 (2010) and is officially named simply "rainbow". It is an emoji-only character: unlike โ๏ธ or โ๏ธ, it has no black-and-white text version, so it always appears in color and its look depends on your phone or computer.

Build a rainbow from symbols
The classic rainbow has seven colors in a fixed order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, often remembered as "ROY G. BIV". Emoji hearts, circles and squares come in six of those colors, which matches the six stripes of the common pride flag.
