๐ is officially called RIBBON, but it shows a pink ribbon tied in a bow. It was added in Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and stands for gifts, birthdays, cuteness and girly or coquette style. People add it to names, wish lists and anything pretty.
๐๏ธ REMINDER RIBBON (Unicode 7.0, 2014) is the looped awareness ribbon, the kind pinned to clothes to show support for a cause or to remember someone. Most platforms draw it in yellow. ๐ต๏ธ ROSETTE is a decorative rosette, and ๐๏ธ MILITARY MEDAL and ๐ SPORTS MEDAL hang from ribbons.
Awareness ribbon colors
Awareness ribbons use color to name a cause. Some of the best known are pink for breast cancer awareness, red for HIV and AIDS awareness, and yellow for supporting troops and loved ones far from home. Many other colors stand for other causes, and some colors are shared by several.
There is only one awareness ribbon emoji, so people add a colored heart to show the cause: ๐๏ธ๐ฉท for pink, ๐๏ธ๐ for purple or ๐๏ธ๐ for yellow. Copy those combos above. Because a color can stand for different causes, it helps to name the cause in words too.
