Space emoji

๐Ÿš€ (rocket) stands for launches, fast growth and big ambitions, and "to the moon ๐Ÿš€" is a favorite of stock and crypto fans. ๐Ÿช (ringed planet, added in Unicode 12.0) looks like Saturn, ๐ŸŒŒ is the Milky Way, and ๐ŸŒ  is a shooting star to make a wish on.

โ˜„๏ธŽ (comet) is older than most emoji: it has been in Unicode since version 1.1 and can also show as plain text. ๐Ÿ›ธ is a flying saucer, ๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธŽ a satellite, ๐Ÿ”ญ a telescope, and ๐Ÿ‘ฝ and ๐Ÿ‘พ are the classic and the arcade-style alien.

Planet symbols

Each planet has a traditional sign: โ˜‰ Sun, โ˜ฟ Mercury, โ™€๏ธŽ Venus, โ™ Earth, โ™‚๏ธŽ Mars, โ™ƒ Jupiter, โ™„ Saturn, โ™† Neptune and โ™‡ Pluto. They are text characters, so they work in any bio. โ™€๏ธŽ and โ™‚๏ธŽ double as the female and male signs, and โ˜ฟ is also used as a non-binary symbol.

Uranus has two signs: โ›ข is the astronomical one, and โ™… is the astrological one, whose H honors William Herschel, who discovered the planet. Pluto's โ™‡ is a P and L monogram for both Pluto and Percival Lowell.

Space combos for bios and Discord

A rocket or planet with a few stars instantly reads as "space": try หš๏ฝกโ‹† ๐Ÿช โ‹†๏ฝกหš or โœฆ . โบ . โœฆ. For more stars, see the star symbol page, and for crescents and moon phases, the moon symbol page.

To type them, search the emoji keyboard for "rocket" or "planet", or press Windows + . on a PC and Control + Command + Space on a Mac. In Microsoft Word, type 2643 and press Alt + X for โ™ƒ Jupiter.
